The Finnish Economic Policy Council publishes its annual assessment of the government’s economic policy and the sustainability of public finances on Tuesday, 28 January 2025. The 2024 report focuses on wellbeing services counties and their finances. A seminar to discuss the report will be held in the afternoon. The publication seminar will mainly be in Finnish, with some parts in English.
The Finnish Economic Policy Council will publish its annual assessment of the government’s economic policy and the sustainability of public finances on Tuesday, 28 January 2025. The 2024 report focuses on wellbeing services counties and their finances. The report will be available on the council’s website at 10am, on the day of publication.
Seminar
A seminar discussing the report by the Finnish Economic Policy Council will be held on the day of publication.

During the seminar, the Chair of the Finnish Economic Policy Council, Professor Niku Määttänen, will present the new report. Comments on the report will be provided by Finance Minister Riikka Purra and Martti Hetemäki, Professor of Practice at the Helsinki Graduate School of Economics and former Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Finance. The publication seminar will mainly be in Finnish, with some parts in English.
Further details about the program will be announced closer to the event. It will be possible to register for the seminar in January. Registered participants will receive a link to the report before the event. Registration is not required to attend the seminar. The event will not be streamed.
